Quaint Victoria
Walking around by the Royal BC Museum before going to the IMAX showing of Amazing Caves, I heard the familiar clip clop of the horse drawn carriages. It truly is one of the unique aspects that endears itself to the downtown core.

Ganges - Salt Spring Island
Rueben and I drove into Ganges (18 km from the park) to get some fuel and playing cards. There were 44 soccer teams participating in a tournament this weekend and Ganges was very busy. They have an incredible craft/food market that is worth the trip alone.

Camping with Rueb on Salt Spring Island
We camped in this spot Friday night at Ruckle Provincial Park on Salt Spring Island. Unfortunately, the proximity to the communal fire ring and the rather obnoxious neighbours we had, allowed for little sleep. We moved the following morning to a more distant part of the park where the families tend to gather. A little noisier during the day, but peaceful at night. The ferries pass right by on their routes to the other Gulf Islands and the bigger ferries on their hourly journey from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen and back again.

Chinatown mural
There are a number of these murals in Chinatown depicting life in the early years of Victoria. I believe that Victoria's Chinatown is one of the oldest in Canada.

Oh oh......
Too late! (for this guy anyway)
We were able to wish our mothers Happy Mother's Day and are thankful to the Lord each day for our Mom's and all the Mom's out there.

From Count My Blessings - My Aunt Ellie's blog
Here's something I read today:
Now I just need to practise my dancing...
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
Now I just need to practise my dancing...
