Easter Sunday

Sunday morning we had our Easter Sunday service and after a quick bite to eat we headed up island for a family Easter dinner. The entire drive up to Deep Bay and on our way back was pouring rain. The entire way mind you, after the Malahat. Victoria seemed to have been spared the huge downpours.
We enjoyed ourselves and had the opportunity to catch up with family as there were 20 over for dinner. Thanks for a great Easter dinner and visit Mom and Dad.

Easter Weekend

Good Friday was a beautiful day in Victoria. Warm and sunny.
After the Good Friday service, we had coffee and pastries at our friends Dennis and Ally who live down the street. In the afternoon it was time to start laying the drainage pipes. Saturday we picked up a load of 3/4" crushed rock to fill in the curtain wall. This place should be able to withstand an incredible amount of rain without leakage once this is complete.
It was raining in the morning, but cleared up nicely for the afternoon. Much easier to work if you are not forced into ankle deep mud. Plus it makes gluing pipe together much easier.

Bit of a reno

Over a couple of Saturday's we transformed a drafty old window and wall with plywood facing to something that now matches the rest of the house. It had always looked 'out of place' before.

Magnolia's

It is a beautiful time of the year with the tree blossoms. Within a few days I will take a couple of pictures of the flowering cherry trees in the back yard with the double white blossoms.
