Fathers Day downtown

We were walking downtown as this old time truck drove up.  Must be a car show on this weekend in Victoria for Fathers Day as there were a fair amount of this vintage driving the downtown core.

How cool is this picture.  The wind has been blowing very nicely for the kite surfers. 

Rueb's new art addition

This is a 9 province, Dominion of Canada flag made sometime between 1908-1925.  Debra picked it up at the Thrift Store a few years ago for a couple of dollars.

Rueben had it framed recently and it now hangs proudly in his bedroom.

Steveston Fisherman's Memorial 

This, according to a Steveston oldtimer is the best place to get fish and chips.  Debra and I have eaten there before and could attest to the fact.  Now Clayton can as well.

Clayton was too small to remember that we used to go to Garry Point Park in Steveston as a family a lot.  It is in the southwest tip of Richmond and is a gem of a park.  We used to fly kites, BBQ with other families and just hang out there on nice summer days.  Good memories.

Shamrocks v Lakers - Bill Copeland Arena, Burnaby

Shamrocks again went down early 4-0, but this time they scored 7 straight and ended the game closer than it should have at 9-7.

Shamrocks v Salmonbellies at Queens Park Arena New Westminster BC

It was Seat for Soldiers night hence the Camo uniforms the Bellies were wearing.  This is the 3rd Annual Seats for Soldiers and it was a very good game.  The Shamrocks went down 4-0 early and then fought back to 4-3.  The Bellies went on another run bringing the score to 9-4. They eventually squeaked it out with an empty net goal to win 10-8 over the Victoria Shamrocks.
