Bill and Marion (Uncle and Aunt) from Orillia, Ontario were in town visiting their daughter Julianna and her boyfriend. It was great visiting with you and hope you have a safe flight back home. Nice to get to know my cousin a bit and we hope you two find Victoria "home". Don't be strangers ok?

The rain has returned after over a week of nice sunshine. Yesterday Clayton's soccer team had a game in Duncan (in the rain) where they lost in penalties. Today Rueben and I visited Sidney by the Sea and took in the Lego exhibition. Watched the Colts defeat the Bears in the Super Bowl. (I like Manning, Harrison and Coach Dungy) Have a great week all.

Late afternoon sky

Wednesday afternoon sky.

After the flooded basement on Sunday morning (read: Poisiden Adventure) we have been running heaters and dehumidifiers non stop. The carpet has been pulled out, and the insurance and Restoration companies are on the case. It snowed as you can see from yesterdays post and the above. Temperatures dropped to -8 last night and are to remain cold for the next few days at least. We will be attempting to clean out any blockages in the drain water system around the house over the weekend hopefully.

Man oh man, what a start to the new year

Welcome to 2007

Going to bed at 11 pm does not quite have the same effect as staying up till the "ball drops".
Getting up at 1:45 am to pick Clayton up after his party gave a bit of the "New Year's Eve" feeling though.
The week brought back the routine into the household (except for Clayton who goes back to school on the 8th).
