BC Day Long Weekend

Debra and I took advantage of a nice long weekend to head up island and visit with family.

We stayed at Debra's parents place in their studio suite. It is a lovely little 1 bdrm suite attached to the garage. Thanks Mom and Dad!!

Trista and Rueben stayed in Victoria where there was loads to do in the city with the Symphony Splash (Victoria Symphony performing from a barge in the inner harbour to 40,000 people) and an airshow performed by Canada's Snowbirds to celebrate Oak Bay's Centennial.

Rueben's College and Career group from Church went to watch the Snowbirds.

Trista's new job

Trista is thrilled to be working at her new job editing and typing up junior writer submissions for the Poetry Institute of Canada.
Her skills are well suited.
In the interview she had to type out a page of a handwritten storey and edit it for grammar etc. She did a perfect job.
Oh, and did I mention that she can type accurately at 110 wpm.
